While working on Modern Warfare, I had the opportunity to design one of the most important features in the game; the 'Gunsmith'. A place to customize weapons, swap attachments, and min-max specs, the gunsmith has long been the meta-game in Call of Duty.
After being briefed by the game designer on the feature, I got to work, iterating on the UX and UI many times until eventually arriving at a design that felt great. What we created focused primarily on the weapon, swapping the attachments feeling like tangible interaction.
